Meet our Environmental Health Officers


Rob Marriner

A Chartered Environmental Health Practitioner with over 30 years experience working in local government enforcement and private practice, including over 20 years managing Environmental Health Technical Teams, and 7 years as a Strategic Director with specific responsibilities for enforcement activity within a local authority. He has been a Registered Trainer since 1985 delivering a wide range of Environmental Health and Safety related courses through a number of examining bodies. He holds both educational and coaching qualifications to Post Graduate level and is familiar with quality systems, and audit and assessments for both quality and delivery of service excellence. He currently works for his own consultancy company delivering training and assisting with legislative compliance throughout England and Scotland.


Carl Price

Carl Price moved into local government and commenced training as an Environmental Health Officer in 1990, having initially worked as a Deputy Store Manager in a retail food superstore. Carl qualified in 1994 with a BSc (Hons) degree in Environmental Health and continued to work as an Environmental Health Officer in local government for the next 12 years during which time he added a Post Graduate Diploma, Masters Degree and corporate membership of the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health to his professional qualifications. Prior to leaving local government, Carl had progressed to Service Management level responsible for a number of different functions. In 2006, Carl left local government to become a Consultant Environmental Health Officer, setting up a successful consultancy practice.


Andy Radford

A Chartered Environmental Health Practitioner with over 30 years experience, Andy has worked in the Environmental Health field as both a regulator and as a hygiene and safety manager for a variety of commercial organizations including retailers and food manufacturers. Now working as a freelance Environmental Health Practitioner, he is heavily involved in the delivery of legal procedures training to a variety of enforcement agencies and is an associate consultant with Warwick Legal Training, the training arm of Warwick Law School. Andy has been an examiner for the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health since 2008.


Ian Marriner

A registered and qualified Environmental Health Practitioner with over 20 years local authority experience and several years in charge of an Environmental Health Service. Ian is now director of an Environmental Health and Training Consultancy. He is an experienced trainer and has developed and delivered a number of accredited and bespoke training courses to a range of audiences. Ian regularly provides training on behalf of Birmingham and Warwick Universities and to a range of local authorities and private sector clients. His qualifications include an honours degree in Law and several post graduate diplomas in Health and Safety, Acoustics and Management.
