Your role in the team

The Account Manager is responsible for retaining and growing incremental revenues across our existing customer base to increase the lifetime value of our customers and to drive new business opportunities.

Build and grow a portfolio of accounts and create a strategic relationship with them by conducting training, account reviews, gaining share of wallet, upselling and cross selling course content.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and grow an account portfolio in order to hit team revenue key results
  • Acquire a thorough understanding of customers needs and requirements through a consultative approach
  • Increase portfolio by introducing new customers to our products and services 
  • Grow account portfolio by identifying opportunities, competitive win backs and gaining referrals 
  • Work on key campaigns in order to increase revenue from our current customers
  • Deliver against all agreed company and department KPIs and service levels 
  • Set and conduct both online and face to face client meetings to review the accounts
  • Develop long term profitable relationships with customers to ensure full growth potential of your portfolio

Product Development:

  • Provide feedback on products, the market and competitor activity  
  • Identify business opportunities and coordinate customer feedback  
  • Assist the product team to investigate market value of new services and ensure successful market penetration 

General:

  • Produce and work to account development plans / quarterly sales presentations, team objectives and the company’s core values 
  • Supply accurate and timely weekly and/or monthly reports  
  • Attend and contribute to sales meetings  
  • Attend training events relevant to role 
  • Carry out any other duties that the company deem appropriate

What we're looking for

  • Strong sales experience in customer facing roles with the drive to exceed minimum expectations. 
  • Considerable field sales or account management experience, preferably within the business to business sectors with a thorough understanding of professional account selling. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to communicate effectively with colleagues, managers, customers and suppliers.  
  • Ability to re-plan and refocus efforts if KPIs are not achieved. 
  • Highly organised, self motivated and efficient, able to manage and prioritise work effectively, with a good attention to detail.
  • Be comfortable working from home, using core Microsoft Office applications and other industry relevant programs. 
  • Ability to analyse and interpret Excel spreadsheets, use of Word Processing, and be comfortable presenting to customers and peers with PowerPoint applications. 
  • Full UK driving licence
