Your role in the team

Reporting to the Head of Technology, you will lead a highly successful UX/UI team which includes all aspects of design and user research, taking full ownership of UX best practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a multi-disciplinary team including digital design, UX design and user research,setting the benchmark for what good looks like across the various disciplines.
  • Lead the strategic and iterative improvement of UX and UI design to support production of our software and systems.
  • Responsible for all design output ensuring the highest standards of work are delivered against our brand standards and guidelines.
  • Promote design thinking and advocate design principles and best practises.
  • Committed to ensuring accessibility in all aspects of the design.
  • Present design deliverables to peers and key stakeholders.
  • Provide inspiration and motivation to the UX team, coaching and developing individuals to achieve their potential.
  • Advise and make recommendations on growth opportunities within the team to support our commercial growth strategy.

What we're looking for

  • Significant UX/UI experience, along with generalist knowledge across design and product backed by a strong portfolio of previous creative delivery.
  • Experience of leading and inspiring a team, coaching and mentoring colleagues along their career journey.
  • Strong communication skills, and experience offering a clear narrative to colleagues and stakeholders of the team vision and UX methods.
  • A strong user focus ensuring their needs are recognised and accommodated with experience of drawing insights from user research to aid this.
  • Experience working in an agile, multi-disciplinary team environment.
  • Excellent people skills with the ability to build positive relationships across the business and with customers.
  • Experience working with Adobe Creative Cloud applications (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, XD, etc.)
  • ​Data focused ideology.

Our head office is in Ilkley, West Yorkshire. In response to Covid-19 we are currently operating as a fully remote business. High Speed Training in Ilkley

The picturesque town of Ilkley is situated in the Wharfe Valley, at the southern end of the Yorkshire Dales. The town is famous for its moor and you'll find fantastic countryside and walks for all abilities on our doorstep. The town is also home to one of the largest cycling clubs in the country.

At around a 25 minute commute from Leeds city central (by rail) and easily accessible by road, our main office is in a great location to enjoy all this.
