We are looking for a Learning Designer - Health and Social Care to join the team and provide a fantastic service to all of our learners.

Your role in the team

Reporting to our Content Production Manager for Health and Social Care, your main role will be to ensure we are delivering content which meets the training needs and learning outcomes for all our learners whilst looking at potential new content opportunities in the Health and Social Care sector.

This will include researching content for health and social care courses to keep our catalogue up to date, keeping on top of trends and developments in the sector and developing our understanding of L&D trends and learning methods to help the team to innovate our content. You will play a key role in helping us to deliver health and social care content that is effective, engaging and helps health and social care workers in their chosen careers.

This role is set within the Health and Social Care Content Production team at High Speed Training. You will be expected to:

  • Play a key role in the evaluation of our training interventions in the Health and Social Care Sector. This will include researching and proposing ways for us to improve our offering.
  • Research industry trends and developments, and proactively inform yourself and the team on any industry or legislative changes. You will be expected to research, propose and develop course outlines for new and updated products within the Health and Social Care sector. You will play a key role in the research and development of new courses and inform decisions on prioritising content changes and updates.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with industry specialists. You will be expected to continually refresh and update your knowledge of Health and Social Care topics and to be able to discuss key topics with specialists.

What we're looking for

  • Good knowledge of the English language, spelling, and grammar. Writing experience is desired but not essential.
  • Excellent research skills across multiple sources and the ability to evaluate your findings.
  • A good understanding of adult learning theories and an enthusiasm for Learning and Development.
  • Motivation to self-manage your weekly workload and long-term projects.
  • Good communication skills. You will need to be confident in communicating with external specialists, accreditation companies and internal stakeholders.
  • Attention to detail and proficiency in editing and proofreading your work and that of others.
  • A passion for Health and Social Care and a desire to develop your knowledge within this sector. Previous experience working in the Health and Social Care sector is also desired.
  • Ideally, you’ll have a degree or other qualification in a related discipline, however this is not an essential requirement.

High Speed Training in Ilkley

The picturesque town of Ilkley is situated in the Wharfe Valley, at the southern end of the Yorkshire Dales. The town is famous for its moor and you'll find fantastic countryside and walks for all abilities on our doorstep. The town is also home to one of the largest cycling clubs in the country.

At around a 25 minute commute from Leeds city central (by rail) and easily accessible by road, our main office is in a great location to enjoy all this.
