We are looking for a Multi-Channel Designer to join the team and provide a fantastic service to all of our learners.

High Speed Training is a team of over 70 people who are striving to fulfil our mission: Deliver training that helps people to be engaged, effective and safe in the career they’ve chosen.

To do this, we create online training courses that help customers across a wide-range of subjects and sectors. Having trained over a million people, we’re always looking to create new ways of engaging with our learners, and we’re looking forward to training the next million.

Your role in the team

As a Multi-Channel Designer at High Speed Training you’ll be responsible for working primarily with our Creative and Content teams to help bring our vision to life. We are all about our learners, so you will be creating and developing engaging, informative and fun content that will help drive levels of customer engagement and satisfaction.

You’ll be part of a Digital Media Unit which specialises in creating instructional content. You will be involved from the start of the process, understanding the subjects and topics relevant to the course content for the given project, and delivering advice, ideas, and media to convey necessary information in an engaging manner on a course-by-course basis.

Multi-Channel Designers at High Speed Training have the following responsibilities:

  • Work closely with content authors and subject matter experts to create assets and resources that support our core learning materials.
  • Managing end-to-end a variety of creative requests for content (infographics, posters, interactive PDFs etc), as well as fulfilling marketing briefs.
  • Create vibrant, informative and engaging assets for our training courses and free-to-access knowledgebase that are in keeping with our brand.
  • Work alongside our in-house media experts to augment our assets and elevate them to the next level.

What we're looking for

  • Passion about content and copy, but also an unwavering resolve to understand and represent the user in all they create.
  • An wide-ranging portfolio that showcases your talents.
  • Solid knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and in particular, InDesign, as well as an awareness of Accessibility best practices.
  • Excellent typographic / layout skills with a sharp eye for detail.
  • Outstanding communication, presentation and organisational skills.
  • Commercial / agency experience, but freelancers are welcome to apply.

Our head office is in Ilkley, West Yorkshire. In response to Covid-19 we are currently operating as a fully remote business. High Speed Training in Ilkley

The picturesque town of Ilkley is situated in the Wharfe Valley, at the southern end of the Yorkshire Dales. The town is famous for its moor and you'll find fantastic countryside and walks for all abilities on our doorstep. The town is also home to one of the largest cycling clubs in the country.

At around a 25 minute commute from Leeds city central (by rail) and easily accessible by road, our main office is in a great location to enjoy all this.
