We are looking for a User Research Analyst to join the team and provide a fantastic service to all of our learners.

Your role in the team

This position will need you to have some relevant experience in analytics, along with a desire to forge a career in this environment. You’ll also have good IT skills, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint, coupled with knowledge of data science techniques and tools. You will have some knowledge of, and an interest in, online measurement across a wide variety of platforms, such as video, mobile, social networks etc. This role will expect you to have the ability to work with data and present in a clear way.

You’ll be part of a User Research Team with a focus on identifying the needs of our varied user base including external learners, external managers and internal colleagues. You will be involved at all stages of the research process from using data to identify areas of improvement right through to assisting with additional data to prove the effectiveness of a change.

User Research Analysts at High Speed Training have the following responsibilities:

  • Help identify areas to increase efficiency and automation of processes
  • Help identify, evaluate and implement external services and tools to support data validation and cleansing
  • Produce and track key performance indicators
  • Gather, understand and document detailed business requirements using appropriate tools and techniques
  • Analyse and interpret complex data sets relating to the business
  • Help drive customer retention across all channels through driving a data lead strategy

What we're looking for

  • Skilled with Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, SQL and other data manipulation tools
  • Demonstrate confidence in working with large datasets and experience turning this into insight
  • Track record in presenting this insight, making recommendations and getting buy in from internal stakeholders
  • Empathy, being able to put yourself in the place of a user or colleague to add depth to insights
  • Curiosity, wanting to learn more from the data than just the first thing you see
  • Honesty, avoiding adding your own biases to the data and having the ability to admit when a dataset doesn’t contain anything of value

Our head office is in Ilkley, West Yorkshire. In response to Covid-19 we are currently operating as a fully remote business. High Speed Training in Ilkley

The picturesque town of Ilkley is situated in the Wharfe Valley, at the southern end of the Yorkshire Dales. The town is famous for its moor and you'll find fantastic countryside and walks for all abilities on our doorstep. The town is also home to one of the largest cycling clubs in the country.

At around a 25 minute commute from Leeds city central (by rail) and easily accessible by road, our main office is in a great location to enjoy all this.
