Module 1: Introduction
This module introduces the fundamentals of project management. Learners will explore the roles of project managers and sponsors, the importance of governance and the benefits and common challenges of managing projects effectively.
Module 2: Defining the Goals and Life Cycle of the Project
This module focuses on how to set a project up for success from the outset by defining its purpose, establishing clear, measurable goals, understanding its boundaries and identifying the key people involved. This module also explains what is involved in the different stages of a project.
Module 3: Creating a Project Plan
This module explains how to identify project tasks, estimate task durations and prioritise and organise work into an achievable schedule. It also covers the importance of planning resources and costs and reviewing and visualising the plan using useful tools such as Gantt charts and PERT diagrams.
Module 4: Measuring, Managing and Maintaining Progress
This module explains the importance of identifying and managing risks and issues within the project when it is in progress. The module also looks at the methods for measuring and maintaining progress to ensure that work is on track for completion.
Module 5: Completing the Project
This module explains what the project managers need to do as the project comes to a close, including information on why it is important to review the project.
The online assessment is taken on completion of the training material. You will be asked 10 multiple choice questions with a pass mark of 80%. The answers are marked automatically so you will instantly know whether you have passed. If you don't pass don't worry! You can take the test as many times as you need with no extra charge.
This course is suitable for people in every workplace and of any skill level. Project managers exist in all environments, on both large and small scales, and this course aims to provide a comprehensive introduction to those wishing to develop their project management skills.
The course is particularly useful to those who are new to project management or who wish to refresh their skills, although no prerequisites are required.

How do I access the training?
All of our training is done within your web browser - there are no apps to download or software to install.
After picking the courses you need and completing your purchase, you will receive a confirmation email. To access our courses yourself or to distribute them to others you just need to click the ‘Get Started’ button within the email and select which option you want. You will then be able to add the course(s) into an existing account, or create a new account.
Can I buy training for my team?
Of course just add the amount of courses you need and follow the purchase process. Please do be aware that it is one course per learner so they will all need their own course.

Can I access the training material after I have completed my course?
Yes. You can use your username and password to log in and revisit the training material as many times as you like, even after completing the course.
Is there a time limit on completing the course?
No, we want our courses to work around you so there’s no time limit in which you must complete the training after making a purchase. You can also split your training over as many different sessions as you wish, as course progress is saved as you make your way through the training. You’re free to learn entirely at your own pace.
