This Nutrition and Healthy Eating course gives an introduction to nutrition and looks at the importance of healthy eating, the direct effect your diet can have on your health and wellbeing, and your responsibilities when keeping your diet nutritionally balanced - including the importance and sources of fats, proteins, carbohydrates, vitamins, minerals and fluids. 3Essential Vitamins and Minerals

Vitamins and minerals, the 11 essential vitamins, sourcing vitamins, vitamin deficiency, minerals, minerals - sodium, sourcing minerals, mineral deficiency, trace elements.

4Water and Fluids

Water, hydration, dehydration, alcohol.

5How Food Processing Affects Nutrition

6Food Labelling

The online assessment is taken on completion of the training material. You will be asked 30 multiple choice questions with a pass mark of 80%. The answers are marked automatically so you will instantly know whether you have passed. If you don't pass don't worry! You can take the test as many times as you need with no extra charge.
