If you work in health and social care you will communicate with a variety of people every day. In order to provide high-quality care you need to be able to communicate effectively, which includes communication both within and between services. You should also ensure service users are encouraged to communicate their needs and wishes within your care setting as this underpins person-centred care.

This course will provide you with the information and guidance you need to develop your existing skills and use a variety of communication methods, including verbal and non-verbal communication. It will also teach you about the different barriers to communication and how to overcome them, as well as how to respond to conflict appropriately and efficiently.
