Aims of the course
At the end of this course, you will understand:
- How autism spectrum disorders present challenges to children.
- What the law requires when working with autistic people.
- Research surrounding autism and its possible causes.
- The common behaviours caused by autism spectrum disorders.
- How to create a 'profile' of an autistic child.
- What a relationship with an autistic child requires from you.
- What you can do to support autistic children in everyday life.
The online assessment is taken on completion of the training material. You will be asked 20 multiple choice questions with a pass mark of 90%. The answers are marked automatically so you will instantly know whether you have passed. If you don't pass don't worry! You can take the test as many times as you need with no extra charge.
