Who should take this course?
Anybody who works with, or around, children would benefit from taking this course, including activity leaders, sports coaches and childminders. The course will be particularly beneficial, however, to those who work in education, including:

Aims of the course
Upon completion of this course, you will:
- Understand the risks of COVID-19 in relation to children and young people.
- Be able to recognise the signs that COVID-19 is causing mental health issues.
- Be able to respond to any concerns you have about a child’s mental health.
- Understand the difficulties children may face when returning to school after a lockdown.
- Know practical strategies to help children readjust to ‘normal’ life.
- Know what you should do to help a bereaved child return to school.
The online assessment is taken on completion of the training material. You will be asked 5 multiple choice questions with a pass mark of 80%. The answers are marked automatically so you will instantly know whether you have passed. If you don't pass, don't worry! You can take the test as many times as you need with no extra charge.
