Aims of the Course

By the end of this course, learners will have an understanding of:

  • The various types of slip, trip, and fall hazards and how they may develop in your workplace.
  • What the law says regarding this topic and what employer and employee responsibilities are.
  • How to carry out a risk assessment of your workplace so to identify slip, trip, and fall hazards.
  • How to control slip, trip, and fall hazards with various control measures, including good housekeeping, proper cleaning, suitable flooring and footwear, design and maintenance, and safely working at height.


The online assessment is taken on completion of the training material. You will be asked 10 multiple choice questions with a pass mark of 80%. The answers are marked automatically so you will instantly know whether you have passed. If you don't pass don't worry! You can take the test as many times as you need with no extra charge.
