Explores writing for your audience, discovering the purpose of your writing, drafting, being accurate and concise, powerful presentation tips, the importance of editing, and how to revise.

2Common Mistakes

Covers how to avoid producing ambiguous content; why you should use the active voice over the passive voice; how to prevent overwriting; how to write clear sentences; how to avoid unclear antecedents and drop useless adverbs; when to use contractions, and the most commonly misspelt words.

3Writing for Different Purposes

Includes practical advice for writing business emails, reports, letters, blog posts, minutes, meeting agendas, social media, and job ads including how to use inclusive terminology to improve hiring speeds and balance the tone of your ads.

Assessment

The online assessment is taken on completion of the training material. You will be asked 10 multiple choice questions with a pass mark of 80%. The answers are marked automatically so you will instantly know whether you have passed. If you don't pass don't worry! You can take the test as many times as you need with no extra charge.
