Module 1: Introduction to lithium-ion battery safety

In this module we will explain what lithium-ion batteries are, where and why they're used in workplaces, and the inherent risks you need to be aware of. 

Module 2: Managing the risks associated with lithium-ion batteries

In this module you'll learn how to conduct a full risk assessment regarding lithium-ion batteries and whose responsibility this will be within your workplace. You'll also learn how to record your findings as well as how to regularly review the risks and controls.

Module 3: Emergency arrangements

In this module you'll learn about fire characteristics, recognising the warning signs, and how to implement emergency plans and procedures, as well as the responsibilities that fall on the employer and employee.

The online assessment is taken on completion of the training material. You will be asked 15 multiple-choice questions with a pass mark of 80%. The answers are marked automatically, so you will instantly know whether you have passed. If you don’t pass don’t worry! You can take the test as many times as you need with no extra charge.
